The National Youth Council of Hungary is the umbrella organization for Hungarian youth organizations. It supports young people in Hungary with international knowledge, networks, and access to information, while representing their interests before decision-makers. Our mission is to advance youth policy and spark young people’s interest in public affairs. We serve as the voice of Hungarian youth, not only within the country but also across Europe.
As a member of various advocacy platforms and councils, we represent young people’s interests at the table—taking part, for example, in the National Talent Coordination Forum and the National Council for Sustainable Development. As a youth organization, we maintain key strategic partnerships with the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, the Ministry for Regional Development, and the Tempus Public Foundation, ensuring solid and effective advocacy.
Since our founding in 2012, we have worked to represent young people and our member organizations, to foster dialogue within the youth sector, to make youth-related issues accessible and understandable, and to promote the sector’s development. We are committed to maintaining continuous dialogue with decision-makers, supporting the implementation of horizontal youth policy goals, and—through our member organizations—reaching young people, identifying their challenges, and communicating their needs to those in power.
