Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA)

The Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA) is one of Hungary’s leading foreign policy think tanks, providing research and analysis to support diplomatic decision-making. Its mission is to contribute to the development of Hungary’s foreign policy strategy through expert background materials, strategic analyses, and a broad network of international relations. HIIA is an active member of the global think tank community, participating in professional networks and regularly organizing roundtable discussions, conferences, and debate forums in both Hungarian and English. The Institute also publishes Külügyi Szemle, Hungary’s only foreign policy journal, as well as the English-language Foreign Policy Review. The Institute is also open to university students, offering them the opportunity to explore the world of foreign policy analysis firsthand and engage with renowned national and international experts through its public events.
