The Hungarian Institute of International Affairs(HIIA) is a non-profit organization owned by the Hungarian State, fulfilling the roles of a research institute and think tank. The Institute falls under the broader work environment of the Prime Minister of Hungary, with its ownership rights and responsibilities exercised by the Political Director of the Prime Minister. The primary goal of the Institute's public policy activities is to support strategic decision-making in Hungarian foreign policy. To this end, the Institute conducts active research covering Hungarian foreign policy priorities, prepares non-public analyses and regular background materials for decision-makers, and engages in active information-gathering through its domestic and international network. Additionally, the Institute engages in scientific and educational activities, publishing research analyses, studies, and professional materials in both the domestic and international scientific communities and before the public.
At the booth of the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, we are preparing geopolitical-themed discussions, games, and quizzes for interested visitors. Visit us if you want to learn about the opportunities offered by the Institute, or if you just want to discuss major world political issues with one of our researchers!
