The Hungarian Public Administration Scholarship Programme is a program of the Government of Hungary to train future civil servants and help launch their careers. Its objective is twofold: to offer an attractive long-term career path for young graduates under the age of 30 years with a good command of foreign languages, and to ensure the continuous renewal of the public administration staff.
The duration of the internships for the 60 scholarship holders is 10 months. With the support of an experienced mentor, students spend 7 months at a ministry in Hungary and 3 months primarily at a Hungarian diplomatic mission, at a public administration institution of an EU member state, or at an international body. They can also participate in professional and public lectures and visits to institutions on a weekly basis.
Applications to the 2025 MKÖ cohort are open to career starter young graduates under the age of 30 years who are fluent in foreign languages. Applications are to be submitted between 15 September and 15 October 2024, at www.mkoprogram.hu!
