Ludovika Collegium

In Hungarian public administration, there is a growing need for well-trained, highly skilled professionals who speak foreign languages and are capable of supporting policymaking and administrative work with their expertise. Supporting this goal, the Ludovika Collegium, launched in February 2021, offers a unique talent development program that goes beyond traditional university education. Unlike other programs, the four- to six-semester training is open to students from any academic discipline, creating an interdisciplinary academic community where participants inspire each other to acquire new knowledge. The program responds to the current challenges of both Hungarian and global contexts, combining classroom-based learning with innovative educational formats and international experience opportunities. The public administration–focused curriculum includes institutional visits, hackathons, project work, workshops, training sessions, and internships. Students also receive free language instruction and can engage in volunteer activities requiring real-world problem-solving. One of the program’s key strengths is its emphasis on personalized development—each student receives individual attention, supported by domestic and international mentors alongside the faculty of the University of Public Service (NKE). This approach ensures that students not only gain practically applicable, high-level knowledge in their own fields, but also develop the ability to understand complex systems and make bold leadership decisions. Ultimately, the Ludovika Collegium plays a vital role in shaping clear, purposeful career paths for Hungary’s next generation of public leaders.
