The Esztergom Center for Vocational Education and Training (ESZC) currently includes three schools with a long history in Esztergom: Balassa Bálint Technical and Vocational School of Economics Bottyán János Technical School Géza Fejedelem Technical and Vocational School
The EGCC was established on 01.08.2020. Currently, the ESZC is the most recent major organisation in vocational education and training in Hungary. Its enrolment area extends beyond the immediate surroundings of Esztergom to the more distant regions of Komárom-Esztergom County, Pest County and the northern regions of Budapest, but students also come from Nógrád County or even Upper Hungary (Slovakia).
The aim of the ESZC is to improve and develop the quality of vocational education and training, and to broaden the range of locally taught sectors and professions for all generations concerned. We believe that improvements should be based on sound information and real market needs, not on the clunkiness of large systems.
Establishing a strategic cooperation with large companies in Esztergom to implement dual training as widely as possible is one of the pillars of the ESZC's strategy. Existing relationships with companies such as SUZUKI MAGYARORSZÁG ZRT., TE CONNECTIVITY KFT., PEMÜ, RICHTER GEDEON NYRT., or ZOLTEK ZRT can serve as a model.
In a unique way in the region and Hungary, through the cooperation of 18 companies and our Training Centre, the Dunakanyar Tourism and Catering Sector Training Centre Non-Profit Limited Liability Company (DÁKK) was established.
In the near future, we plan to build a training hostel in Esztergom. This plan is a national priority project for tourism and hospitality sector. This development can serve as a model for dual training centres, project training, and sectoral training centres. Other sectors, such as beauty, sport, etc. can also be involved in the operation of the hostel. The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone of the hostel took place on 07.07.2021.
The ESZC works closely with the Komárom-Esztergom County Chamber of Commerce and Industry in both career guidance and professional areas.
Our institutions and their leaders are driven by a development mindset. As a result, the range of training courses has now been extended to include the training of a graduate technician.
Our schools have a unique and highly effective child protection program (IBP ) adapted to the specificities of vocational education.
Our aim is to provide up-to-date information to help students and their parents preparing for secondary school, as well as adults changing careers, to facilitate the process of choosing a career, further education, and changing school or profession.
