Since 2002, he has been a Member of Parliament for Fidesz. From 2006 to 2010, he worked as the Communications Director of Fidesz, from 2010 to 2012 as the Prime Minister's spokesman, and from 2012 to 2014 as the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. Since 23 September 2014 he has been Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
