Dr. Miklós Szánthó, lawyer, political analyst, Director General of the Centre for Fundamental Rights since its establishment in 2013. Since 2018 he is member of the Board of Trustees of the Central European Press and Media Foundation. He is the President of CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) Hungary. Author of numerous legal and political publications in Hungarian and foreign languages, co-author and co-editor of several books.

Married, father of a daughter and a son. In March 2021, President János Áder awarded him the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (civilian grade) in recognition of his high quality legal and political analysis and his publications in Hungarian and foreign languages.
