Richárd Szabados earned his degree in economics at the University of Debrecen, specializing in finance and accounting. He began his career at the auditing firm Arthur Andersen, then held leadership positions in corporate and leasing divisions at Budapest Bank, K&H Bank, and CIB Bank.
For the past seven years, he led the Corporate Division of Erste Bank and served as a board member of Garantiqa Credit Guarantee Ltd., as well as a trustee of the Agricultural Enterprise Credit Guarantee Foundation. In addition to his professional roles, he has been a board member of the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation as part of his social commitments.
Since June 2023, he has served as the Managing Director of the Hungarian Economic Development Agency and since September 2024, he is the State Secretary for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Technology at the Ministry of National Economy.
