Pál Rókusfalvy is a leading figure in Hungarian wine and tourism marketing. In 1999, he founded Rókusfalvy Pince Ltd., where he continues to serve as Managing Director. He opened a guesthouse in Etyek in 2002, further deepening his commitment to the region’s development.
Since 2003, he has been actively involved in promoting tourism and wine marketing across the Carpathian Basin, with a particular focus on the Etyek-Buda wine region. From 2003 to 2012, he organized two major annual events: the Etyek Cellar Festival each May and the Kezes-lábos Festival each September.
In 2007, he established the Winemaker of Winemakers award and founded the Vinum Praemium Foundation to oversee its administration. Since 2013, he has co-organized the annual Wine Conference with Dr. Bence Prónay, and since 2019, the Sparkling Wine Conference.
Between 2012 and 2021, he launched and led the Etyek Picnic event series, held quarterly throughout the year. In 2022, he was appointed Government Commissioner for National Wine Marketing, responsible for developing and implementing Hungary’s national wine strategy
