Soma Richter is a political scientist and economist currently serving as government chief advisor at the Tax Policy and Tax Planning Department of the Ministry of National Economy. He is also a researcher at the Center for Economic Policy of Mathias Corvinus Collegium.

He holds a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in political economy from Corvinus University of Budapest. His research focuses on the political economy of Central and Eastern Europe, with particular emphasis on the crisis management role of monetary and fiscal policy measures.
