Árpád Rácz is a historian, editor, and a prominent figure in Hungarian historical popularization. He founded Rubicon Historical Magazine in 1989 and has served as its editor-in-chief ever since. Under his leadership, Rubicon has become one of the most influential and widely respected publications in Hungary’s historical education scene, addressing both professional historians and the general public.

Rácz Árpád’s editorial work is characterized by a balance of rigor, scientific accuracy, and accessibility. Over the past decades, hundreds of renowned historians have published in Rubicon, and the magazine has played a key role in making historical topics broadly known and open to debate in Hungary.
