István Kiss is a political scientist and expert in international relations. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Danube Institute and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hungarian Conservative journal. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Pázmány Péter Catholic University and the University of Edinburgh.

From 2013 to 2018, he held positions at the Századvég Foundation, first as a Research Fellow and later as a Senior Research Fellow. Prior to joining the Danube Institute, he worked as a Political Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office of Hungary.
