Mr. Iakinte Chkhartishvili has been active in both governmental and non-governmental sectors since 1999. In 2000, he served as Assistant to the Governor of Tbilisi Municipality. That same year, he founded and became the Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper Didebuli.
He later held several key positions, including Coordinator of the Public and Analytical Council at the Defence and Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia (2001), and Head of the International Relations and Human Resources Departments at the Customs Department of Georgia (2002–2004). He also founded a non-governmental organization focused on civil and public initiatives.
From 2009 to 2010, Mr. Chkhartishvili served as the Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
In 2021, he was appointed First Deputy Director of the Georgian Public Broadcaster. The following year, he was involved in the governance of higher education institutions across Georgia.
Currently, Mr. Chkhartishvili is the Head of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia. He is also pursuing a Ph.D. degree.
