Tamás Bartal is a pioneer of the historical true crime genre in Hungary, as he deals with the famous Hungarian crimes of the 19th century in novel form. He dealt with the death of László Teleki, an opposition politician and reform-era celebrity, which was disguised as a suicide. He is the author of a collection of short stories and the creator and co-author of "365 reasons why it's good to be Hungarian", a publication that provides a story or event to be proud of for every day of the year.
