In her presentation, author and illustrator Katalin Basa weaves together two seemingly opposing literary worlds. Can the popular fantasy genre draw from the inexhaustible well of folklore? Can characters from traditional folk tales be brought to life in modern-day Budapest? And can Hungarian folklore contribute anything to the whirlwind of trendy fantasy series? The talk is enriched with illustrations from the author’s novel The Nameless Queen.
