Zsolt Wittmann began his work in talent development in 2013 as the coordinator of the Secondary School Program at Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC). He focused on extracurricular, social science-oriented education for high school students, aiming to prepare future leaders in fields such as law, economics, international relations, and psychology. In 2017, he became the head of the program, during which time the number of participating students quadrupled and the curriculum was significantly expanded.
Since 2020, he has led the transformation of the program into a Carpathian Basin-wide talent development network, which now offers free educational opportunities in 17 cities across Hungary and 11 abroad. As Program Director, he has organized academic competitions, conferences, training sessions, camps, and professional excursions, and contributed to founding both the National High School Problem-Solving Competition and a nationwide debate tournament.
Thousands of students from the program have gone on to study at leading universities in Hungary and abroad. Since May 2025, he has also overseen MCC’s secondary school ranking initiative and the development of partnerships with schools. His contributions to talent development were recognized with the Bonis Bona – For the Talents of the Nation award in 2025.
