Katalin Szám is a journalist, editor-in-chief and contributor at Képmás magazine, as well as a board member of the Media for the Family Foundation. For nearly 15 years, she has also hosted the Képmás-est event series and written scene concepts for the accompanying theatre series. Since the inception of both the film and theatre events, she has co-developed and organized their themes together with Krisztina Fodor.

Her work has been recognized with several prestigious awards: in 2015 she received the Pro Familiis Award, in 2016 she won first place in the print media category of the Media for Talents Award, and in 2020 she was honored with the Mihály Táncsics Prize.
