Rodrigo Ballester is the Head of the Center for European Studies Workshop at Mathias Corvinus Collegium.

He holds a law degree from San Pablo University in Madrid and an LL.M. in European Law from the College of Europe in Bruges (2002). Rodrigo spent 16 years as an EU civil servant in Brussels, working within both the European Parliament and the European Commission.

He has also served as a visiting professor at the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po, Dijon campus), where he taught European law. A regular commentator in the European and international press, his articles have appeared in Le Figaro, Atlantico.fr, ElDebate.es, El American, Newsweek, Mandiner, and Index. He is also a frequent guest on radio (Radio France, Kossuth Rádió) and television (El Toro TV, Hír TV).

In 2024, he was appointed Ministerial Commissioner at the Hungarian Ministry of Culture and Innovation, responsible for the internationalization of higher education and research. A self-declared "wokebuster," he is an outspoken critic of cancel culture and woke ideology. He is the father of three children.
