Szabolcs Janik is a political scientist and economist who earned his degrees at Corvinus University of Budapest, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in political science.

Previously, he worked as an analyst at the Policy Solutions Institute, the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. From 2016 to 2022, he was a researcher, deputy director, and later operational director at the Migration Research Institute.

For the past three years, he has been a research fellow at the Center for Political Science Workshop of Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC). His research interests include Central and Eastern Europe, the Visegrád Group (V4), political communication, and migration policy.
