Melinda Hal is a psychologist with a background in economics. She previously held economist positions at Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC and CIB Bank. Since 2015, she has taught at several Hungarian universities, including Pázmány Péter Catholic University and Semmelweis University. Her clinical work is primarily based in the psychiatric ward of Szent Rókus Hospital in Baja.
She introduced an innovative course titled Science Marketing, which addresses the underdeveloped field of communicating, promoting, and marketing scientific results. This unique program currently has no equivalent in Hungary and is rare even worldwide. Its goal is to ensure that scientific value does not remain confined within the walls of the laboratory. She believes the talent and motivation of MCC students provide an ideal foundation for the success of the course.
Her research focuses especially on pain management, with a particular emphasis on achieving new levels of effectiveness in the treatment of headaches. She supports people living with chronic pain through basic and applied research, as well as through practical testing.
In November 2021, she became a certified clinical psychologist.
