Zoltán Gyarmati-Paor was born in 1979 in Budapest. After earning his law degree, he began working in the media and later became the creative director of Channel Six. He is credited with the feature film adaptation of Mihály Babits’s novella Flying Village, which has won numerous international awards. Currently, he works at the Institute for Hungarology as a film director, editor, cinematographer, photographer, and graphic designer. He is a black belt in armed martial arts as well as a pianist and composer.

His first literary work, Blood/Line—the opening volume of the Line series—was developed in close collaboration with leading figures of the Hungarian academic community, including historians, archaeologists, geneticists, medical doctors, linguists, literary scholars, martial artists, and investigators. The upcoming installments of the series promise to reveal further exciting insights into the forgotten secrets and incredibly rich history of the Hungarian people.
