She has always been deeply interested in food science and food safety, which naturally led to a focus on food waste. She earned her degrees in food engineering and in food safety and quality engineering at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE). During her studies, she participated in several food technology sectoral scientific projects and competed in both institutional and national scientific student conferences. In 2022, she received a special award from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) at the MÉTE National Scientific Student Conference for her research work related to product development.
For the past four years, she has been a dedicated member of the Without Leftovers (Maradék nélkül) and Nébih Education awareness-raising programs of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih). Throughout her professional journey, she has taken on project coordination roles in multiple European Union initiatives — including those focused on reducing food waste — and has overseen the full implementation of a household food waste survey. Additionally, she played a key role in organizing the Nébih Roundtable event series and served as a moderator for several major project events.
Currently, her work centers on developing publications, educational materials, and workshops tailored to a wide range of age groups. She regularly appears in professional video materials and short films featured on Nébih’s platforms. Alongside her colleagues, she is committed to shaping consumer attitudes: they deliver engaging presentations on food safety and food waste in kindergartens, schools, summer camps, and various events throughout the year. Their shared belief is that reaching children early not only influences their future behavior as adults, but—with the right tools—can also positively impact their parents and extended families.
