György Bacsa began his career as a Corporate Legal Counsel and, after two years at INA d.d., returned to lead the Mergers and Acquisitions team at MOL Group. Since 2011, he has overseen the Group’s major M&A projects, including the acquisition of ENI’s operations in five Central and Eastern European countries and a significant Exploration & Production initiative in Azerbaijan. As the head of Group Strategic Operations and Corporate Development, he is responsible for coordinating a wide range of functions, including M&A, corporate strategy, project evaluation, macro and industrial analysis, ESG coordination, legal, regulatory and public affairs, investor relations, corporate governance, internal audit, and venture capital investments.

Since 2013, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Budapest Stock Exchange and holds board and investment committee positions at several prominent fund and asset management companies, including Lead Ventures. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Alteo Plc. since 2023.

He holds degrees in law and economics from Eötvös Loránd University and Corvinus University of Budapest, the University of Heidelberg, and Duke University in the United States. He is admitted to the New York Bar and the MKIK Arbitration Register. In addition to his professional roles, he is a curating member of the MOL New Europe Foundation, the Foundation for Civil Education, Culture and Science, and the Maecenas Universitatis Corvini Foundation. In 2021, he received the annual "For Hungarian Economy" award.
