Anurag Sharma is a senior researcher specialising in terrorism, cybersecurity, and organised crime, at the Vivekananda International Foundation. He holds an MPhil in Politics and International Relations from Dublin City University, Ireland, where his thesis focused on "The Islamic State Foreign Fighter Phenomenon and the Jihadi Threat to India."

He also holds an MSc in Information Security and Computer Crime from the University of Glamorgan (now the University of South Wales), UK. Anurag’s core interests include terrorism and the Internet, cyber threats, online radicalisation, CVE, organised crime, including narcotics, and foreign terrorist fighters.

Before joining the Vivekananda International Foundation, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Conflict Management. He also holds online certifications in terrorism studies from Leiden University and the University of Maryland.
